Downing

Jumps off the high dive
Splashing water across the pool
not realizing the danger
Diving into the shallow end
Fell the concrete against the head
screaming for help that is not heard
thrashing toward the surface
choking
darkness
Light
Air
Lifeguard

Airplane

The roar of the engines
The tower says the runway is
clear.
The plane begins to speed up and down the runway
Armrests across the plane is
clutched by nervous, sweaty,
blood declined hands.
The pale faces get paler as the plane
rises in the sky.
Small talk breaks out when the plane
reach the right altitude.
After a fear filled flight the planes lands
The first step off the plane is filled with many smiles.

The Night

Christmas
laughter, presents
Christmas tree, sleeping
sparks, fire, black smoke, fire trucks
ashes.

Terror

Terris like the night
It slowly appears and
then over comes you in
an instant.
A cloud of fear flouts over you like the
blackness of the night
You try to run from the fear by you can not
escape it
You don't know which way to go.
Both leave you blind of everything around you.

Earthquake

Sleeping a peaceful dream
Sirens
The floor rumbles
Run toward the front door
triping over fallen rubble
Hide
The power of the quake overwhelms you
It ends
Move to a better place.

Snakes

Walking through te grass
Hear a whisper in the wind
Look around
The grass moves from side to side
Hear a noise that sounds like a
low drum.
The sound is coming from a
Rattle Snake.
It looks at you with its beady black eyes
You fear the deadly poison
in its teeth
Will it strike?
You move back slowly keeping your eyes on its
teeth
The sound of its tail gets louder
You run by you still hear the rattler
It gets louder and you run faster
Thinking its behind you
You're safe.
